Curtis E. Jones

Curtis is a nationally recognized security leader with over 30 years of experience protecting critical infrastructure and leading security programs across the public and private sectors. His career spans key leadership roles at AstraZeneca, Pacira Pharmaceuticals, and Dexcom, where he developed and implemented security strategies supporting global operations, mergers, and high-risk environments.

Curtis has provided expert consultation in incident management, workplace violence prevention, risk mitigation, and emergency response. As Head of Security at Pacira, he oversaw all facets of corporate protection, from access control and CCTV systems to contracted security services and law enforcement coordination. At Dexcom, he built and managed a global security program covering over 2 million square feet and 7,000 employees, applying a holistic approach that combined emergency management with critical infrastructure protection.

 

Beyond corporate roles, Curtis has served on national platforms to safeguard places of worship and public spaces. As Chair of the InfraGard National Committee to Mitigate Church Violence and Executive Program Manager for the National Religious Facilities Protection Program, he led the development of best practice frameworks and forged strategic partnerships with the FBI, DHS, FEMA, and DOJ. He continues this mission as an appointee to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Faith-Based Security Advisory Council, where he Co-Chairs the Subcommittee on Countering Targeted Violence and Terrorism.

 

In addition to his federal advisory work, Curtis serves as the Deputy National Sector Chief for the Commercial Facilities Sector under the InfraGard National Members Alliance, representing high-traffic public venues such as retail, entertainment, and real estate. Locally, he has been a dedicated Infrastructure Liaison Officer for San Diego’s Law Enforcement Coordination Center (SD-LECC) for over a decade, facilitating public-private collaboration to mitigate threats from terrorism, cyberattacks, and natural disasters.

 

A former President of the InfraGard San Diego Chapter, Curtis led more than 1,000 members in partnership with the FBI and DHS, strengthening regional security and community resilience. Known for his strategic vision, hands-on leadership, and unwavering commitment to service, Curtis continues to lead in shaping national security standards and building bridges across sectors to protect what matters most.
